NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) is conducting two years D.El.Ed course for in-service teachers in the session 2017-2019. Untrained Teachers from all over India are now studying D.El.Ed course under NIOS.

The course is divided into 4 semesters with a total of 14 papers, course code 501 to 514. Candidates have to select one paper between 509 and 510.

The first two-semester result has been declared already, and the third-semester exams paper 506 (Understanding Children in Inclusive Context) and 507 (Community and Elementary Education) of NIOS D El Ed course were held on 20th and 21st December 2018 in all the states of India including West Bengal.

NIOS Cancelled Examination For Question paper Leak In West Bengal

It has come to the notice of National institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) that the Question papers of
the D.El.Ed examinations conducted on the 20″‘ and 21*‘ December, 2018 for the papers 506
(Understanding Children in Inclusive Context) and 507 (Community and Elementary Education) were
leaked in the state of West Bengal by some of the custodians of the question papers much before the
scheduled date of examination. The issue has been reported to the police for investigation and the
state government officials have also been informed about the leakage.
The National Institute of Open Schooling has decided to cancel the examination iorthe two papers in
West Bengal and re-conduct the examination at a later date. The examinees are informed to be
prepared to write the examination ata notice of seven days. No additional examination fee is to be paid
by the examinees for rescheduled examinations.

At first, it was considered as a Social Media Prank message, but later it was found on a leading Bengali newspaper in the form of public notice.

Though it was found as an official notification from NIOS, but the candidates were over sure till today afternoon that the exam is not canceled yet, but it may be cancelled later after the investigation process.

But today NIOS uploaded an official notification on official NIOS website which stated clearly that examination of papers 506 and 507 held in West Bengal canceled due to alleged question paper leakage complain and later again the two exams will be taken.

Candidates have not to pay any extra fee for this cancellation and retake of the two exams and other procedures. The date will be declared 7 days prior to the exam dates, and candidates should ready for the examinations.
